Costellariidae

Costellariidae sometimes called the "ribbed miters" is a family of predatory marine gastropod molluscs. The shell ranges from small to medium-sized, with an elongate shape that resembles that of the Mitridae, although these shells are more closely related to the Muricidae.    There are 500-600 living species and the shells range in size from 3mm to 80mm.

Costellariidae species are found in the tropical and temperate waters of the Indo-Pacific, from shallow water to depths of 200 m.
